I am a Qualified Microchip Implantation Trainer with over 16 years experience training implanters in NSW and Victoria. I was in fact the first teacher in TAFE NSW to train Microchip Implanters back in 1999 in the lead up to the introduction of the then groundbreaking Companion Animal Legislation.
In 2015 I retired from Government Service after 25 years as an Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing Lecturer at Richmond College, Western Sydney Institute (WSI) TAFE NSW. Throughout my career I have taught in all areas across the entire Animal Care and Management Training Package Suite of Qualifications: Vet Nursing Cert4 and Diploma, Animal Studies, Companion Animal Services, Animal Technology and of course Captive Animals (Zoo Keeping).
I was awarded the Public Service DET / TAFE Medal for “SERVICE TO STUDENTS” along with the Merit award pin from the NSW Teachers Federation for “…promoting the quality of education and the welfare of your fellow teachers…”
